#423 Gastrodon GENDER Male TYPE LEVEL 100 EVOLUTION n/a GIVEN 11/23/12; Purchased from Hiccup Haddock.
ABILITYSand Force PERSONALITY Hatched 12/01/12! Aradia took pretty meticulous notes on Baby Eggbert when he was an egg, since she and Roxy were both new to the breeding game, and presumably needed to figure it all out. His name came from Roxy, who called the egg "Eggbert". It became common usage, and once he was born it sort of...stuck. Whoops? As the first baby pokemon Aradia had ever had to care for, Eggbert was pretty coddled. The other pokemon in her party tended to baby him, too, or at least play with him; Eggbert got free rides from the bigger pokemon, and even Indy wouldn't (and still won't) play pranks on the baby shellos. Eggbert's pretty happy-natured because of all the love and affection, but he's also not very independent. He likes to be around other pokemon and people at all times. Eggbert never, ever wanders off, and generally enjoyed being carried around in his Shellos state, typically in a sling or on one of Aradia's shoulders.
Now that he's evolved, he's a bit too big to be carried, which did set him to sulking for a day or two before the flattery over "you're so big and strong now!" won him over and he adjusted. Eggbert is still treated like a baby by some of the older and bigger pokemon, but there are also a lot more baby pokemon or younger pokemon around now, so he's not the youngest by a long shot. He's had to adjust to not being the only baby in the world, especially now that he's not so much a baby, but he's done admirably well at that. Eggbert is still a bit too clingy and dependent, but he's getting better about it, and is still very easy going in general.
