im curious
and how do you normally celebrate it at your home?

where im originally from we dont use years or months or any of these things as a time term
a sweep isnt even equivalent to a year
and you have one wriggling day a sweep
although theres not much you do on them compared to human parties which i think are more fun
i cant even begin to figure out how you would equate a wriggling day to a yearly thing anyway
so i just did what jake suggested and picked something else for fun

speaking of!
ive got a list now and since i need to get it to several people this seems appropriate
sans terezi nepeta equius gamzee the birthday calendar is as follows:
february 14 eridan ampora february 22 sollux captor march 25 aradia megido
april 13 john egbert and jane crocker august 31 kanaya maryam
september 21 or 22 karkat vantas because whichever is the equinox!
and then december 1 is jake english and jade harley
december 3 is strider day
and december 4 is lalonde day

so that crosses off everyone i know from home but i do not have the days of everyone i know here
thus this very important question!

Humans don't hatch, you know. They're born. My brother and I are identical twins, so we were born right after the other.

I suppose you wouldn't, if you literally hatch from eggs. Honestly, I can't imagine what life would have been like without Hikaru. People can't really tell us apart, you see. Some girls give chocolate to all the boys they know and like, but the tradition is to give them to only in romantic sense. There's no restriction on the gender either these days. I've heard of girls giving girls chocolates. And boys giving chocolates as well. That's because the day was originally "marshmallows" day, but the meaning changed as not everyone liked the candy.

As a Nation, our dates of founding tend to act as birthdays. Some are more certain than others. July 14 is a very important day in my history, so it works well enough. :)

Maybe! I hope so. There used to be festivals to celebrate the seasons, but I don't think anyone has planned anything recently come to think of it.

What is an ancestral sign, exactly? I don't think it's something that has come up in the conversations I've had with trolls thus far.

They're a nuisance that involves interacting with plenty of people I would rather not and having to spend half the day checking gifts for potential curses and traps and things of the sort.
