im curious
and how do you normally celebrate it at your home?

where im originally from we dont use years or months or any of these things as a time term
a sweep isnt even equivalent to a year
and you have one wriggling day a sweep
although theres not much you do on them compared to human parties which i think are more fun
i cant even begin to figure out how you would equate a wriggling day to a yearly thing anyway
so i just did what jake suggested and picked something else for fun

speaking of!
ive got a list now and since i need to get it to several people this seems appropriate
sans terezi nepeta equius gamzee the birthday calendar is as follows:
february 14 eridan ampora february 22 sollux captor march 25 aradia megido
april 13 john egbert and jane crocker august 31 kanaya maryam
september 21 or 22 karkat vantas because whichever is the equinox!
and then december 1 is jake english and jade harley
december 3 is strider day
and december 4 is lalonde day

so that crosses off everyone i know from home but i do not have the days of everyone i know here
thus this very important question!
if you dont have one we can pick one because this is exciting!

Yeah! I bet if you have a bunch of friends here, it'd be just as difficult so maybe the same challenges go into making a nice birthday here than it would elsewhere...

he likes adventures and ruins and pokemon
and hes really social and outgoing!
he types in green :o

sollux is less outgoing and can be sort of a jerk to people
but he can also be really sweet and helpful sometimes
both when he wants to be and just because hes not watching himself
although he complains a lot hed also do a lot for the people he cares about
up to and including sacrificing himself
hes also one of the smartest people i know

Ooh!! Jake is one of those go getters, huh? He reminds me of one of my friends, Renji! Except Renji is probably really hot blooded!

And Sollux reminds me of my friend from my childhood too! I know all about those types!! They're jerks to everyone but if anything bad happened to their friends they'd completely snap!

Hmmmm! In that case, I'll still talk to him! I get what you're saying! I mean, my best friend from home, Toshiro Hitsugaya, is grumpy and would probably lighten up a bit if he had more people to talk to. He'd still be kinda grumpy, but he'd be nicer and warmer once you get past that gruff exterior which would take a lot less effort, which would probably make their lives a little easier.

Not really. I mean, sometimes I feel a little lonely but then I remember that Johto has a bunch of people in it that I can befriend. When I first started out, I was really shy and I was still trying to figure things out. But, now that I talk to all sorts of people, I'm kinda thankful for the situation I'm in, you know? If there were too many people from my home world, I'd kinda attach myself to them and not talk to strangers as much. I'm truly starting to become more confident on my own.

And my gosh! Aradia! Those pictures are so so pretty!

Was it difficult for you to start out?

It really seems like it'd be easier to start out here in the spring or summer. I mean, it's warmer and there's more sunlight then. When I first started, it was kinda cold and dark.
