♈ aradia megido is maid of time ♈ ([personal profile] timelymaid) wrote2013-07-04 03:31 pm

fourteenth bubble; video/action for mahogany.

[ This entry takes place in the dark. The dark of a hotel room! ...In the day, so the blinds are drawn shut. Why? Because Aradia has received only the world's most fantastic shirt. It glows in the dark! Specifically, it is a Haunter shirt...and lit by the dim glow of the shirt and the light from the gear, Aradia can be seen. Why yes, she is also wearing Dad's fedora, a hat that only a few people would recognize, and her hair is actually not crazy - for which you can thank Kanaya, whose disappointment in this ensemble may be sensed through the screen. Aradia, this is not fashion. ...And no one but Kanaya can even see the fact she's probably wearing her omanyte toe socks, which don't help matters. And those are also from John, come to think of it.

Aradia is also wearing what is probably an unconsciously creepy grin. Whoops. That's what happens when you post from a dark room and have a tendency towards unsettling people sometimes?

After a moment of grinning in silence, she'll actually stop that and talk, though. ]

Hi!!! This is Aradia. [ In case you couldn't tell. ] And this is the best shirt ever! John sent it to me! He has one like it, too, and I said it was amazing and now I have my very own! Isn't that just fantastic? I had to turn out the lights to let you all get the proper effect!

[ ...But now that you've gotten it, she'll actually turn the lights back on. Aradia's sitting crosslegged on a hotel bed, presumably in Mahogany from the music, and in the light her grin is a bit less eerie. Sort of. ]

That's not the only reason I wanted to post, though! Actually, I have something I need help with. See, ghost and fossil pokemon are my absolute favorites! And while getting ghost pokemon just requires catching them, fossil types are...well, a little bit harder. I only have a few species: Kabuto's line, Aerodactyl, and Tirtouga's line. [ Though by reason of people leaving she has two of the first and three of the second. ] And this is not at all a complete collection! Which is sad, because I'd like to study fossil pokemon up close.

So if you have any and could either breed me one or trade me one? I will pay or trade you an egg you'd like! Very specifically I am also looking into getting two Archen! One of those is not for me, but is for Dave, whom also has a sad lack of fossil pokemon that has to be corrected!

I figured it was worth asking, at least! Oh, and before I forget, if you didn't tell me your birthday a few months ago when I asked and we're now friends, you should probably tell me about it now! I don't want to miss someone's birthday on accident. And I think that's pretty much everything? Though on the topic of birthdays, I know of three for this month! And just in case you don't? Equius picked the 9th, Francis Bonnefoy told me his birthday is the 14th, and Misaki's is on the 25th! Be sure to wish them well on those days, okay?

let's avoid the topic of fashion here, the only commentary she'll get on that is a slightly confused look before he discusses the rest]

I actually happen to have an Archeops, actually-though he's a male, so unless you want two Archen with no interesting moves, it might take a while to breed them for you. I haven't really done it yet since I've admittedly been somewhat perfectionistic about it, but I suppose after a year there really isn't any reason not to.

Archen's one of the types I'm afraid I don't have, unfortunately; I'm in possession of a few of the others, though, if you're that curious about them.

I suppose it has, Megido-san, but I'm sure I've only grown the fonder of you for it.

Were you looking for an egg, or simply the chance to visit with one of the Fossil Pokemon?

You have an Aerodactyl?

[Way to ignore everything else she said, Mondo.]

Wish I could help you out with your other fossil Pokémon, but I don't have any. I've been looking to get my hands on some of 'em, but I don't know where to start looking. Where did you get yours?

It is a nice enough shirt. Do they make them for other species? With those ghost candles that were around in October, the effect would be great.

[Possibly a little creepy, too.]

How many fossil species are there, and how can we recognize them? Not knowing what they are would make finding them harder.

[...He might or might not be deliberately ignoring that last question.]

Holy shit, you have three of them? That's so fucking cool! I bet they're all great in battle!

[Ooh, that'll get him to pause for a moment and grin stupidly again.]

I'm really interested in Aerodactyl! I'm sure the others are great too, but Aerodactyl's the one I've been looking for! I'll pay you for an egg and everything! Shit, I'm heading back to Violet right now; I'd offer to come get it, but it might take me awhile to get to... wherever you are. It'd help if I had something bigger than a Murkrow that could carry it...

[Things he doesn't think about...]

Ah, but anyway... which one's your favorite though? I mean, I'd assume the Aerodactyls since you've got three of 'em.

Perhaps we can come to some sort of arrangement, then. I'm not generally one to collect eggs myself, but you're right, the fossils are intriguing. Perhaps a trade of one for one? I imagine I could contrive to coax my roster into that somehow.

I believe you mentioned a Kabutops; I have one as well, so there's no need to share in that respect. However, I don't have an Aerodactyl or a member of the Tirtouga line; my fossil Pokemon are an Armaldo and a Bastiodon. So an even exchange, as you can see, could theoretically benefit us both. I'm afraid I can't be of any more assistance on the others, however.

Two for two is perfectly fine. I'll set to work on my own roster, then.

Ah, but speaking of egg moves — one of the breeding tools in my complement happens to be a shiny Ditto. Would you prefer an arrangement that produces an interesting complement of moves, or a Ditto breeding that might stand the chance of coming out uniquely colored?

I wouldn't wear it most days, but it would be great for Halloween and as a souvenir.

[Besides, he knows a few people who like purple.]

...That's a lot of Rock-types. I wonder if they had it even back when they naturally lived?

['My birthday? Oh, you missed it by a week and a half. Sorry! :D'? Yeah, no.]
usedlaserbeam: (CAT Φ make a pussy joke and die)

video;

[personal profile] usedlaserbeam 2013-07-05 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
I'll see what I can do, then. My Armaldo is female, which allows for more varied options, but the Bastiodon is male, so that makes procuring an egg of his a bit more complicated.

Naturally, they couldn't both be in the same egg group; that would make matters entirely too simple, wouldn't it?
usedlaserbeam: (LOUNGE Φ does it look like i'm flirting)

video;

[personal profile] usedlaserbeam 2013-07-05 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Whichever is most convenient, really; with multiple Aerodactyls at your disposal, it seems simplest to encourage them to, ah...produce an egg together, as it were. As for the Tirtouga, I'm not particularly attached to shiny types over the regular variety, so you're welcome to experiment with whatever suits you best.
usedlaserbeam: (GREET Φ with a kiss to the hand)

Then if you're amenable, I'm more than happy to indulge your interests in that respect.

[guuurl you need a makeover]

Well, I have been meaning to do a trial run for quite some time, so I'll do my best to ensure that you both receive one. They may not have all the TM and tutor moves I'd like, but it's as good a start as any... My only request is that you inform me on how they turn out when they hatch, as I'd like to know what works and what doesn't... honestly, I may just see if I can get other combinations together so I'll have more money to buy TMs and evolutionary items when I get to Goldenrod.

I received one in one of those occurrences where everyone got a seemingly random Pokemon egg that hatched into one with different coloring than usual. I'm actually hoping to see if that will carry over, as well, as I don't know quite how rare of a mutation it is.
