[ This entry takes place in the dark. The dark of a hotel room! ...In the day, so the blinds are drawn shut. Why? Because Aradia has received only the world's most fantastic shirt. It glows in the dark! Specifically, it is a Haunter shirt...and lit by the dim glow of the shirt and the light from the gear, Aradia can be seen. Why yes, she is also wearing Dad's fedora, a hat that only a few people would recognize, and her hair is actually not crazy - for which you can thank Kanaya, whose disappointment in this ensemble may be sensed through the screen. Aradia, this is not fashion. ...And no one but Kanaya can even see the fact she's probably wearing her omanyte toe socks, which don't help matters. And those are also from John, come to think of it.

Aradia is also wearing what is probably an unconsciously creepy grin. Whoops. That's what happens when you post from a dark room and have a tendency towards unsettling people sometimes?

After a moment of grinning in silence, she'll actually stop that and talk, though. ]

Hi!!! This is Aradia. [ In case you couldn't tell. ] And this is the best shirt ever! John sent it to me! He has one like it, too, and I said it was amazing and now I have my very own! Isn't that just fantastic? I had to turn out the lights to let you all get the proper effect!

[ ...But now that you've gotten it, she'll actually turn the lights back on. Aradia's sitting crosslegged on a hotel bed, presumably in Mahogany from the music, and in the light her grin is a bit less eerie. Sort of. ]

That's not the only reason I wanted to post, though! Actually, I have something I need help with. See, ghost and fossil pokemon are my absolute favorites! And while getting ghost pokemon just requires catching them, fossil types are...well, a little bit harder. I only have a few species: Kabuto's line, Aerodactyl, and Tirtouga's line. [ Though by reason of people leaving she has two of the first and three of the second. ] And this is not at all a complete collection! Which is sad, because I'd like to study fossil pokemon up close.

So if you have any and could either breed me one or trade me one? I will pay or trade you an egg you'd like! Very specifically I am also looking into getting two Archen! One of those is not for me, but is for Dave, whom also has a sad lack of fossil pokemon that has to be corrected!

I figured it was worth asking, at least! Oh, and before I forget, if you didn't tell me your birthday a few months ago when I asked and we're now friends, you should probably tell me about it now! I don't want to miss someone's birthday on accident. And I think that's pretty much everything? Though on the topic of birthdays, I know of three for this month! And just in case you don't? Equius picked the 9th, Francis Bonnefoy told me his birthday is the 14th, and Misaki's is on the 25th! Be sure to wish them well on those days, okay?

Hey! I'm not sure if everyone watches the EV News - I do, and they have the catchiest little intro jingle, don't you think? [ Pausing to hum that. You're welcome. ]

Anyway! Is anyone planning to go to this prom thing? And has anyone else managed to procquire a silver ticket? I have to say that seeing all those pokeballs drop from the sky was sort of fun! I actually can't take credit for catching my silver ticket, though - Panini caught it. I think he was sort of having a field day with things to catch from the sky, actually. I'll have to keep that in mind for the future.

I've never been to a dance before. So I entirely plan to go! Besides, it sounds like it's happening in a new place, which is exciting. Have any of you been to dances before, though? I wouldn't mind hearing about them if you have!

[ Aradia's pretty clearly somewhere busy - the breeding convention, day 2, as it happens! - when the image goes live. She'll just give the gear a bright smile before starting up. ]

Hey! I've got...three things? Yes, three things today! The first one is pretty obvious. [ But she'll spin the gear around to catch sight of the booth and eggs and her compatriots at the booth at that point in time. ] We've got a booth at the convention, and if you're not in Goldenrod, I've attached a list of what we have to offer! Just in case.

The second one is sort of related! I don't know how many of you know Sollux Captor - tallish, likes blue and red, he types with double I's and swaps twos for s's - but! As it happens he's also really, really good at coding! And because he's also really helpful when he wants to be, he's made a pretty nifty application, which you can download at the end of this transmission. To summarize it, it's a spreadsheet-type thing that allows you to enter your roster - or at least anyone you feel like entering - so anyone else with that application could view it. I admittedly just asked him to make it for me so I'd have an easier time keeping track of ours, but I mentioned it to a few people who seemed interested, so why not? There was a lot of collaboration for this convention, if booths are anything to go by, so I think some people might find it useful!

Entering your roster doesn't mean you have to agree to anything! But if by chance someone has a pokemon you'd like to do something with and you're far away from one another, the lovely Saber - she runs the Breeding Centre! - has agreed to let people use the BC as a staging area. And that's it on that count!

My third thing is rather a long way off - Francis and I were talking about parades, and how it would be neat if there were any, but since there's absolutely no way we'd pull it off in a short period of time, we were considering trying to do something for next Christmas? Oh, and in Kanto and Johto both. Basically we're at the stage of asking people what they think, and asking if anyone wants to be involved!

And I think that's - oh, no, wait! A belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Ren Jinguji - his birthday was on Valentine's! And everyone should be sure to say happy birthday to Sollux on the twenty-second! And that's really all I have, so I'll end this here.

[ Aradia's sitting at a table with a sizeable stack of books and her binder opened to red-inked notes that can't be read clearly on the screen. She's got the pokegear propped up against something, and she smiles absently, clearly ordering her thoughts. ]

Hello! This is Aradia. I've been doing some reading - well, I suppose it's rather a lot of reading? - about the legends of this place. Jade, thank you again for that book! I actually read a reference to it there, and then it took me a little while to locate other mentions of the topic - it's been nearly two weeks? - because I suppose I'm really in the wrong region for this, but -

Hm. I'm rambling. Anyway! Here's a story that some of you might find interesting.

A long time ago, there was a pokémon known as Regigigas. It seems to be part of a creation myth, like a few others - the task Regigigas completed was pulling the continents into place. When it had completed that task, it created three golems in its image: one from an icy mountain, one from rocks, and from one magma. Regice, Regirock, and Registeel. For a time they were worshiped by the people of the land, but this would not last. They were so powerful that the people grew afraid, and took action.

Using magic they sealed away the master of the golems, Regigigas. The three golems it had created were spirited away to a new land, for if they were to come together Regigigas could rise again, and the people of that land feared that would mean endless destruction. The golems were all sealed away, their locations lost or forgotten.

[ Aradia falls silent for a minute or two, making a note in her binder, before looking back up. ] I'll admit it isn't exactly overflowing with details, but I thought I'd share anyway. The legend itself is apparently native to a place called Hoenn. "We built this" - that was in the translations they released. I wonder what it refers to in specific? The placement of the continents? This world's civilization? I really want to go to Blackthorn sometime soon to see for myself! Oh, and the rest, if you weren't following the news, I guess: "Man ends, pokémon ends, everything ends. New worlds inherit new dreams." We've certainly got worlds aplenty represented here, anyway.

This place does have something of a knack for cryptic messages, though. "Our words shall remain here for the ages. Thus we shall erect a pokémon statue outside. They possess great insight and refuse the outside world. We humans must learn to walk in harmony with them. We depart for their sakes."

I wonder how many more of these little messages are hidden around the realm. I suppose we'll just have to find out! At least reading about this makes it easier to know what to keep an eye out for when we're exploring! Although reading about all of this also makes my "to see" list absurdly long, so maybe I ought to stop until I've caught up with that.

Although she's also apparently doing spontaneous teleportation, at least going places is a lot easier! She has all the time in the world.

This isn't normal, right? I've been to several different places without staying for very long, and I stopped taking my map out about five stops ago. I don't think I can check them off as places I've been if I only stay for a handful of minutes at a time, right?
