this is rather odd!!
i had actually expected to be somewhere else
other than where i am currently i mean
dream bubble travel is not a precise science but i am usually much better at it
as in i normally go where i am meant to go!

although logically speaking if i am here i am meant to be here
it is just that i thought i was meant to be elsewhere
this isnt even a dream bubble

and while my new companion is very sweet i find that i am missing
everyone
since we were more or less all there just a little while ago
i am also missing my horns and my general biology
and i believe this woman is claiming to be my human lusus??
she is quite nice regardless of the fact i do not remember her
which i feel a little bad about so i pretended i did
and she gave me this!!!

i have not had to ask for directions in a very long time this is very nostalgic
so i hope i am doing this properly!!
if anyone can offer up more information that would be lovely :)

my companion and i will continue to get to know one another in the meantime!!

i have to admit i do not like the sound of those!
but anyway, i have no idea why you are here. nobody really has any idea why any of us are here it is just something that kind of happened.
but there are lots of things that you CAN do, if you want to.
i know trolls don't have pokemon but tavros mentioned something called fiduspawn which has a similar concept, from my understanding.
basically you just raise a bunch of monsters. you can pit them against each other in battle if you want or breed them. depends on what you want to do.
though johto seems to nudge us one way or the other when we arrive.
breeders receive different things in their backpack than trainers. but it's not like it's set in stone or anything, you can do whatever you feel more comfortable with.
or you can choose to do neither and just...travel for traveling's sake.
basically: you have options.

Colonel Sassacre here was mine. He's a Dunsparce. Gastly was my second capture though. He's a Haunter now though, and my other one is a Gengar. But yeah, there are a few haunted towers. I haven't been to the biggest one yet, it's in Lavender Town and we haven't quite made it that far yet. But I am excited nevertheless. Sprout Tower in Violet has a couple of ghost types in it, but I wouldn't really say it's all that haunted. The burned tower in Ecruteak though... definitely has some otherworldly vibes going on in there. At least I think it does.

[ Aradia will swap, too. Hi John! She's still chilling in New Bark at this point, although she may or may not have located the human she's dragging to Violet City. Ghastly's sort of bobbing nearby, looking at the pokegear with interest.

That is quite a few haunted towers. I've never actually been to a haunted tower? I have been to several ruins but that might be entirely different.

A little different, yeah. But then again, haunted places here aren't really the same as haunted places in other universes. Like I think you will find that ruins here aren't quite the same as the ones back home. But that is all I will say on that matter.

Well fortunately, you can easily acquire new tools. Though you will probably have to get a job first. If I remember correctly, you don't really start out with a whole lot of money.

Yup! Customary rules of a trainer battle in Johto, loser coughs up the cash. Predictably, leaders give you more than your average youngster or bug catcher on the routes though.

That makes sense though! They are boss battles, aren't they?

Basically, yeah. I guess the Elite Four would be the true "bosses" in this sense, but for some reason or another we can't challenge them yet.

Even if you already have all the badges, I might add. Really not sure what's up with that.

The "Elite Four"? [ Obviously four of something elite, and probably trainers, but. Expand on that, please? ]

Yeah, the Elite Four. The four strongest trainers in the league. Like the gym leaders, they all specialize in a specific type. You can only challenge them after you have all eight badges. Though it might be all sixteen here, because of the two regions. Or at least under normal circumstances, since like I said, they don't seem to be accepting challenges right now.

Anyway, if you manage to defeat all of them then you get the chance to take on the Champion, who is basically the big kahuna super end game boss of Pokemon. And if you beat him then that makes you the Champion until somebody else comes along to try and knock you off your throne. At least, that's how I that would be the next, logical real world conclusion.

But not quite. I have all the Johto Badges, but only two of the eight Kanto badges so far.

Has anyone managed to get all sixteen yet? [ She's guessing not, due to the Elite Four speculation up there, but. Aradia looks pretty interested in all of this; world lore is important, okay! She doesn't really have any interest in challenging the Elite herself, but wondering why that's not a possibility it perfectly fine. ]

Have you ever met them or the Champion? [ Being Champion does not sound like a fun time. Not that she's not used to that aspect of gaming, but Aradia was always more into the adventure aspects of flarp, as she'd told Tavros. ]

Yes, actually. My friend Riku got all sixteen a while ago, but even he couldn't face the Elite Four yet. I kind of wonder if maybe they are waiting for more people to get all sixteen. Maybe things will work differently here than they did in the games. I haven't met any of them though, no. I don't think anyone has. I am not even sure who the champion is, to be honest. In the game, it was your rival but somehow I don't think that's how it will work here, especially since the whole point of the game was to beat him.

Though I guess the champion could always be the main character from the game.

Well, if we're inside the game, that could be a possibility, couldn't it? Or at least we're in a world that has a game based off of it in your world. [ ...why are universes always so confusing. ] Although I guess the "rival" could be like the mother-lusus?

Well if there is a rival "character" here, so to speak, I have yet to come across him. Or hear of anyone else who has. But I would assume that the champion would initially be an npc type character. At least until one of us beats him.
