Jake is only semi-clearly in the frame, since he is apparently lying down surrounded by some eggs slightly off to the side. He is flanked by two Wigglytuff - one male, one female. The female is prodding him in the face while the male sort of just stares.

Aradia is apparently ignoring the fact that Jake fainted dead away for the time being, because there is Business to attend to and anyway he’ll be fine man. Just ignore him! Unless you, you know, can’t. ]

Hi! This is Aradia, again, and - [ ...Oh, wait, right. She veers away from introducing Jake, since he’s not exactly in a useful state right now. The Wigglytuff are now clearly debating something in the background, the female having given up her poking attempts for lost. ] - as it happens, Jake and I have rather a lot of eggs available right now! I don't see why one would become a gym leader if they weren't willing to lose. That's rather the entire job description - battle trainers and give out badges, right?

That's right, but the description only requires her to give out a badge upon a defeat, and in my personal experience, she seems to be of the opinion that the likelihood of her suffering a defeat is slim to none.

...That makes me wonder how many badges she's had to hand out.

Hers was the first badge I won, and that was more than a year ago now.

Suffice to say, it's been quite a few.
