[ She's well aware that text isn't a preferred mode of communication for some people, and this is too important to not get out to the greatest amount of people who knew him possible, but...Aradia's forgoing video for once, so all that's coming through is her voice. She sounds fairly calm, if a bit rushed, but there's a bit less pep and a bit more seriousness, though admittedly only those who are familiar with her may even note that much. ]

Hi. Jake English went home today. [ Just...putting it out there, front and center. Aradia takes another breath before continuing. ]

I'm not sure exactly when, but...well, we've been having the same problems as everyone else. A little bit. It was only the once, but - well, let's just say we were all split up. And I was trying to contact everyone to try to coordinate a reunion, but - I couldn't reach Jake's gear.

I tried a few times, just to be sure, so - I don't think it's a mistake. ...Besides which, both of the Jake Pokemon are with me, and - [ Well. Logic therefore dictates that he's gone. ]

If anyone has any Pokemon from his roster I'd appreciate it if you sounded off. I'm sure they're all going to be well cared for but it would be nice to know where they ended up, although admittedly there are a number of Pokemon to account for.

[ There's a short pause, and then, wryly: ] We had a bit of a problem back then, didn't we? ...Anyway, that's about it. Oh! I did find Kanaya, though. We just ended up on opposite ends of town.

[John sighs and pulls on his shoes. His box is full and has been for a while, so he doesn't fully expect to find any of Jake's Pokémon hiding in there but with how weird things have been lately? It's probably worth a check.]

[It's not until he's out the door of the inn that he responds to Aradia.]

I don't think it's possible for any of his Pokémon to have wound up with me but I'm going to check anyway. Things have been kind of weird with the PC system lately, at one point it sent all my Pokémon in there except for Sassacre? Which shouldn't have even been possible but there you have it.

How are you holding up? He'll probably be back before any of us know it. [It's almost scary how much he's starting to sound like a tape recorder when this sort of thing happens. He can't really even be upset anymore. He's sad, sure, he wished Jake didn't have to go but, hey. Them's the 8r8ks.]

John! Staying put still? [ ...YOU KNOW, JUST...CHECKING... ] I don't know what's going on with the PC system recently either. I've been having similar problems.

And I'm okay! [ Should she feel bad about that? A little sad, but...well, when you've died as many times as she has, you just sort of learn to roll with the punches and be really happy about the stuff that you can be happy about. ] I'll miss him, but - well, you once told me Johto has a revolving door for our friends!

Haha, yeah. No problems after I got rid of that Haunter. Though... admittedly I was a little sad to see it go. [So. Sad.] At least with teleporting. My Pokémon have been going in and out of my box at random, some of my items decided to duplicate themselves, and the bunny Rose gave me for my thirteenth birthday suddenly appeared in my bag.

[BUT HEY...he stopped warping. That's the important thing here.]

But yeah, that didn't stop being true. Though lately it seems to be a little slower of a revolve than it was in the past. But it's okay. Just as long as they all come back eventually!

Ah...you were hoping it would be a shiny or something...? [ There's a brief sigh on her end. ] Things don't make any more sense over here! ...And I've had some of the same problems, although I can't say I mind locating what I did! It even fits this time.

Isn't a slower revolve better? I actually rather like it here. And it isn't as though any of the important things we were doing stop just because we aren't there, apparently, so I'm not that worried about being here.

It was shiny though! It was blue and beautiful and basically perfect and it was so sad letting it go even if it was for the best. What did you find though?

A slower revolve is better but also worse. On the one hand, people stay longer which is good! But on the other it takes them forever to get back which really sucks...

Hm...Well, maybe one day you'll get your shiny!!! Rose and I can try to make one by our powers combined or something! And what I found is best shown! But you have to be absolutely ready for the sheer amazingness that is what I found! Again. I mean, I'd found it once before!

Oh, that's true. ...I think they should just slow the door revolving out, not in!

That would be great if you guys could but you don't have to! It's not like I don't already have...probably more shinies than one person rightly should. [Aren't these things supposed to be rare?] Can you show me now? Or is your gear still messed up?

But yeah, I agree. It just doesn't seem to work like that which is kind of a shame.

Well, it's something to try for, anyway. It's not like we're not going to be breeding things! We may as well keep it in mind. And my gear is completely working! [ She just. Hadn't wanted to do video before.

But she totally is willing to swap for this! She didn't mention it before, because it would have probably been in bad taste to go "Jake left BUT LOOK WHAT I HAVE" but when Aradia flips functions, she's grinning widely, now. ]

Okay, are you ready for this? It's really hard to find but...!

[ TA-DA. Aradia is putting the gear out enough to give room as she places the world's best hat on her head. ]

It's an authentic archaeologist's hat! And now the fact that it doesn't have horn holes doesn't even matter! It didn't fit entirely right at home, but now it's perfect, don't you think?

[John was going to say something about the breeding thing but all thought of shiny Haunters is wiped form his mind as Aradia shows him her amazing find. Because he recognizes that hat, there's no way he could ever possibly forget it.]

[He sticks to audio on his end for now, because he doesn't trust his face at the moment. And he doesn't want to ruin how happy Aradia is about her sweet new archaeologist hat that actually belongs to a business man. Well...assuming it's whose he thinks it is. Because you know it could just be any old hat...]

[With that thought in mind, it's a little easier to keep his voice upbeat and cheerful.]

Sweet find! Totally... sweet, yeah. Err, though question. You said you originally found it back home? But it didn't have horn holes? How exactly does that work, I figured troll hats would kind of have those by default.

[Wait why is he asking this? It can't remain Schrodinger's hat, both simultaneously belonging and not belonging to his father, if she answers that.]

Yes! I found it in a wallet which was in a puppet wearing a "Cal" shirt - which would actually become our first guardian, but that's neither here nor there! - along with a laptop of a black and white human smoking a pipe! And some pieces of my robotic counterpart, which was, at the time, fairly creepy.

It was in the ruins outside my home. The frog ones? Did I ever tell you about that? Well, anyway! It didn't really fit at home because of the lack of holes but now that I don't have horns it fits perfectly!!!

[That answers that. Aradia somehow managed to wind up with his Dad's sylladex which...makes no sense whatsoever but what DOES make sense in SBURB? No sense in questioning it, really.]

[He's happy for you, Aradia, really. Even if he's a little sad, it gives him something of a warm sensation to know that the hat wound up with somebody who will truly enjoy it. And damn if the idea of her wearing it everywhere and excitedly plundering even the most mundane of ruins isn't completely and utterly adorable.]

I think you mentioned ruinds before but not that they were frog ruins? Were they like Jade's frog ruins like is this some kind of weird SBURB conspiracy?

Oh, yes! They were! And when I prototyped myself with one I was a frog spirit? So, I mean, they were always frog ruins. I think it probably has to do with SGRUB - I mean, that's where I found the codes, or what would become the codes once Sollux translated them - and there is the whole frog-breeding thing.

Hehehe, good point. About Kanaya, I mean. But, good. I never doubted that you would take good care of it though, to be honest.

Most things are! I mean, our entire lives were, so. And I could have done that, but we didn't really have frogs in the way you'd think of them on Alternia? So I don't know where I would have gotten one. A dead frog, I mean.
