sixteenth bubble; text/action for pewter. BACKDATED TO THE 2ND/yesterday.

no :(
this is entirely unfair!
ive been waiting to go to the museum in pewter ever since john told me about it on day one
and then jade gave me that book for christmas
and i planned it all out so i could come and see it after all of the fossil things!
this was the plan!
to go to the museum!

this is so stupid!!

by the way the museum was robbed i guess
and now its closed
and i cant go in

kanaya will you go to mt moon with me i guess we can at least TRY to salvage this

people who rob museums are the worst

[ After sulkily lurking outside of the museum for a little while in the morning, Aradia will be drawing up a plan of attack for Mt. Moon, easily found either at the inn or on a bench outside or at a cafe somewhere. She is not the happiest of campers for once, although her mood will not last long at all. As ever she'll match whatever mode of reply she gets. ]

I really don't understand the point of it at all. It's like they're trying to say something along the lines of "Look at how far we're willing to go, you should consider us to be a threat!" but it comes off as "Look at how we're wasting our time on completely pointless acts that barely mean anything."

Granted, there were attacks some time ago that seemed to be legitimately threatening, but it's hard to reconcile them with, well, this.

What you've said is basically what I know. I encountered one of the actual legitimate threats within the organization some time ago-an individual by the name of Seth. I have absolutely no idea who he is, but he launched an attack on Goldenrod some time ago that was actually rather well coordinated in design, even if I can't say his motives made much sense.

He was active before I met you. I also remember him posting the aftermaths of attacks on various natives several times, though not recently... he may have been a non-native who was returned home.

As for your information... I seem to recall someone theorizing about the first piece, and I'm glad to hear it confirmed. I suppose I can count myself lucky that I was assigned to be a breeder rather than a common thug.

As for the other... what do you mean by chipped?

[...technological illiterate here. And yes, he feels super special.]

[...wow that second point sounds... kind of familiar

he's pretty sure Armstrong wasn't a Rocket, though-]

That, and it's easy enough for someone to pretend that they simply haven't been terribly interested in the gear for a few weeks, particularly if they're from a less technologically advanced world. Though, what places have people started in aside from Goldenrod?

Ah, I see. That doesn't seem terribly surprising... though, if the Pokemon was traded to someone outside of Team Rocket, would they act in the same way?

Ah, I see. Well, it's something to keep in mind. After all, not everyone is going to immediately know about the implications behind the different starting locations.

Someone I knew had a Pokemon that had it out for him, and it was certainly... oddly single minded about it. I suppose I wouldn't be too surprised if he just had a Pokemon that hated him, but I really have to wonder... well, I suppose I shouldn't be too concerned about it given that he's been gone for quite some time now.
enjoymyatelier: actually, it totally will. (aha! a plan that will not end in failure)

Yes, it's far more organized than you'd think. Though, I've been suspecting the teleportation may not be as random as we think for some time...

Oh, most certainly... but who would it cause more problems for, in the long run?

Well, among other things... though I can't say there are any rules that this place seems willing to break thus far, I did notice something curious when talking to someone about the theory of infinite parallel words. With all the people that have come and gone multiple times, you'd think that there would be more variation in the worlds that they came from, but more often than not, they're merely from a different point on the same timeline.

I know from my own experience in running into someone from a world similar to mine but with a very notable point of divergence that this place isn't incapable of drawing from very similar versions of a world, but it seems strange that there are less instances of significant divergence than one would expect.

...ah, yes, that's quite true. Furthermore, I'd imagine the ones that have the intelligence to play nice are the ones who are actually competent...

What do you mean by that? I'll admit I'm not exactly an expert on the subject, but like I said, I'd think there would be more variation based on the little I've heard about it.

There's that too, I suppose. I do think it's better to keep the information under wraps either way, as it gives us the extra advantage - even if it's just to keep tabs on who's likely to be in or not.

There apparently is a legendary Pokemon that controls time, so even if time wouldn't otherwise function that way, that Pokemon may be ensuring that it does, for whatever reason.

Yes, it certainly does. Granted, it can't exactly be said that we have more information... we just happen to know some things that they do without them really knowing.

How did you come by this information, anyway? Is it from someone who's in the organization against their will?

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2013-10-03 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you'd know more about that than I would. Though, I have to wonder how similar this being would be to you or anyone else with time-related abilities from your world? I want to assume that things like the operation of time would function somewhat similarly across universes, but that may not be the case.

Most certainly. Even if it takes them some time to do anything terribly underhanded, they do have more resources available to them than we do.

That makes sense. I can't imagine anyone who had anything resembling loyalty to the organization to give this kind of information out so freely.

If we were even in the same region as that Pokemon, that would likely be a bit more feasible. This region does have Celebi, but that's not quite the same.

Indeed it would, but I'd rather not have to put up with being beholden to... well, that

Oh, certainly - and really, that "someone else" could easily always be one's self.

They do seem like our best bets to seeing other parts of the world, but I've heard things that make me rather doubt that they're in charge of our actual presence here.

...what, are there others?

No, it's very true. Of course, it's not like I can blame anyone for that.
