I see...I had wondered about people not starting with Mom in Newbark, but I hadn't thought it was anything nefarious!

That's...weird. I wonder why some people end up in one place and not the other. Or does everyone start out in the same location and simply get moved...?

I don't know. It seems to be as random as people coming or leaving this place. I doubt anyone even remembers what happened before they woke up at the base or at mom's house.

I'll also be honest... and say that when I was in the team, I stole a few Pokémon. Definitely not because I wanted to and I felt guilty for each one. I just didn't have much of a choice. I needed to stay on their good side, because I needed information from them. So I could deliver it for people on the outside.

[The ... is of course for the Aerodactyl part. He's heard bad things about that Pokemon, and it dawned on him that he might have to ride on one now. Whyyy. Well, if it's Aradia's, maybe it won't be like the others. He'd have to just hold out hope on that.

When Aradia makes her landing, she'll find that Dist isn't hard to miss at all. Despite the heat, he's chosen to wear his black suit anyway, complete with the enormous petaled collar. He can only wear the finest clothes and show no skin, okay? His Roserade is also out with him, looking prim and proper as ever.

He makes his way, slowly but surely because he's a little cautious, toward Aradia and her Aerodactyl.]

[ They're going to make an exceedingly curious pair, because Aradia herself is dressed casually: jean shorts and a red button-down short-sleeved shirt. And boots, because boots are good for travel.

As soon as she lands she slides of Serket's back. The Aerodactyl eyes Dist with only vague curiosity, but doesn't seem too interested. He's fairly well behaved so long as Aradia's in his line of sight; she's his mommy. ]

[ She pats the dinosaur on the side, endlessly cheerful. ]

[Sensing that the dragon dino isn't going to go berserk, Dist gains a little more courage and comes all the way over to the two. Rosamund the Roserade follows closely behind, staring up at Aradia and Serket with a polite smile.]

Well, if you refused for too long you could get kicked out of the team and be revealed to the police... or punished some other way.

[He laugh, slightly.] I almost suffered their other punishments for quite different reasons, but I managed to escape so I don't know what they might really do. I do know it wouldn't be nice. They don't like lazy people or traitors.

There is. I think it's the only way and most Team Rocket members don't even know such a thing exists.

[He wouldn't have known if some higher ranking officer didn't tell the whole Team Rocket network.]

Every Team Rocket starter Pokémon has a microchip implanted on them. Apart from tracking people, it also seems to ensure that the Pokémon are loyal to the team. So in order to get out you need to take the chip out, and the only way to do that is to go to nurse Joy... which means officer Jenny will find out you're a member and you get two weeks of community service.

[Dist at least makes an effort to be polite to the giant fossildragon.]

Hm, about...three hours back? Since it's not me doing the work, I don't need a break - unless you wanted to grab something to eat before leaving, anyway.
