Aradia is clearly in the frame - she apparently has a pokemon filming with the gear, although which one isn’t immediately apparent - surrounded by a plethora of neatly sorted eggs. Jake is only semi-clearly in the frame, since he is apparently lying down surrounded by some eggs slightly off to the side. He is flanked by two Wigglytuff - one male, one female. The female is prodding him in the face while the male sort of just stares.

Aradia is apparently ignoring the fact that Jake fainted dead away for the time being, because there is Business to attend to and anyway he’ll be fine man. Just ignore him! Unless you, you know, can’t. ]

Hi! This is Aradia, again, and - [ ...Oh, wait, right. She veers away from introducing Jake, since he’s not exactly in a useful state right now. The Wigglytuff are now clearly debating something in the background, the female having given up her poking attempts for lost. ] - as it happens, Jake and I have rather a lot of eggs available right now! I’ll be attaching a text document for download at the end of this with the species spread and basic price points, but if you want something and can’t afford it, let us - sorry, let me know and we can absolutely work something out!

Ah, battling Whitney-san. Given my experience with her, I'd say he's right to be somewhat concerned.

That depends on how you feel about girls who cry when they lose, I suppose.

I think that sounds a bit silly and useless!

In that case, you may want to be concerned about Whitney-san as well. She has something of a reputation for being a sore loser after a defeat.

I don't see why one would become a gym leader if they weren't willing to lose. That's rather the entire job description - battle trainers and give out badges, right?

That's right, but the description only requires her to give out a badge upon a defeat, and in my personal experience, she seems to be of the opinion that the likelihood of her suffering a defeat is slim to none.

...That makes me wonder how many badges she's had to hand out.

Hers was the first badge I won, and that was more than a year ago now.

Suffice to say, it's been quite a few.

I actually just won a badge on Sunday!! [ Yes, she's proud about this still. ] The Fog badge. It's my first.

Are you going to attend the Breeder's Con mentioned in that show thing?

It was! I'm rather fond of ghost types, too - although using them in the battle would be, ah, a double-edged sword?

And good! I think it sounds like it will be a lot of fun, really. Jake does, too, and Dirk and Sollux are willing to go along for the ride, so. I think they're hoping to get a look at the eggs more than anything else - I have to keep my eyes out for a fighting type, at the very least.

I've noticed that fondness, yes. [UNFORTUNATELY.] And I'm certainly no, ah, expert in ghosts, but I believe they're weak to their own attacks, paradoxically. So that's right, I think "a double-edged sword" is a fine way of putting it.

Do you have one in particular in mind?

[ Why you be hating on ghosts, Yagyuu? ] Right, but luckily quite a few of my pokemon know dark-type moves - including a ghost-type, so.
