[ Someone's certainly happy today. Aradia has absolutely no clue what's going on, but she knows when it's going on to exact degrees and she's a god tier troll again. Life is good! Although she's also apparently doing spontaneous teleportation, at least going places is a lot easier! She has all the time in the world.

May as well ask about whatever is happening, even if it's mostly happy. ]

This isn't normal, right? I've been to several different places without staying for very long, and I stopped taking my map out about five stops ago. I don't think I can check them off as places I've been if I only stay for a handful of minutes at a time, right?

Oh, but I'm a fairy again! Well, a troll. [ If that was not incredibly obvious from the video. Gray skin with a reddish tint when she flushes, curling horns, and yellow whites of the eye... ] I missed flying!

[ Alternately, catch Aradia as she's ported through to different places, although you might have to make do with a quick chat. Hopefully she doesn't catch you in an awkward position. She'll eventually end up at Violet City, where she'll be for most of the event. Happy lazy coincidences! She'll be flitting around town and poking at anything interesting and talking to whoever. Indy the Gastly is going to be out and flying with her for the duration of the event, because she pretty much never puts him in his pokeball. ]

[Along the streets of Violet there's another Sollux -- but this one is significantly closer to the one Aradia remembers, since at the moment he is levitating a few inches off the ground, surrounded by a red and blue glow. He also seems to be arguing with his Yamask over nothing in particular, despite the fact that he can't even understand the Pokemon language.]

[Of course, after a certain point, he stops responding to Yamask entirely. Ignoring the Ghost's bitching, he just zooms ahead, jumping onto the ground quite loudly in front of a certain butterfly-winged Time player.]

[ Aradia's been celebrating the happy coincidence of ending up exactly where she'd wanted to go by reading every sign in the vicinity - some are oddly informational! - and trying to convince herself not to hare off to the ruins until she met up with everyone, since they'd said they would go together.

She's actually more than a little startled to hear the familiar nickname again. Especially when she registers that this Sollux isn't the other Sollux - although after a moment of processing this Sollux gets a warm smile, because this iteration is significantly more familiar, even if he's further back than she's used to. ]

Sollux! [ Oh, this is actually pretty great! ] Oh, now you get to see what I look like! That's good. Although I suppose if we go home you wouldn't remember?

[Oh god did he scare her???? --wait, wait no. She's smiling. Good. Great! Okay.]

Yeah, you went God Tier! That'h really thweet-- [LISP] --fuck. Hang on. [LISP, NO. He takes a moment to stop and control his mouth again. These troll teeth are slightly different than the ones he had as a human, so he's been plagued by spats of a much more definite lisp throughout the day. It's still there normally, as a human and a troll, but not nearly as bad.]

[But after a moment he's back to normal, half-smiling just a bit for Aradia.]

Nah, I wouldn't remember if we go home, but I'm way behind all of you so it doesn't matter. You look really good, though.

Yes! After my third death. [ Original death, robodeath, dream self death...Aradia's a bit too cheerful recounting that sort of thing, but it's still really nice to be able to be cheerful about things.

There's no real reaction to the lisp beyond a little smile; it's never bothered her before. ]

Thank you, Sollux! How far is "way behind"? [ She can guess, but it's nice to know exactly what everyone remembers. ] Although I think I'm further ahead of most of the people I've spoken to, or at least as far ahead as they are!

You look good, too, though. [ And you're actually looking at things. It's nice, if strange. ]

The fight with Eridan. [His expression turned suitably bitter for the course of that sentence, and never quite got back to its previous glee.]

I look good? I'm only wearing my regular clothes... [He flops his arms out a bit. What is there to like about this...]

[ Oooooh. That's not a good time at all. There's a sort of understanding now, at least, and Aradia nods, thoughtfully.

Well, the past is best left in the past. ]

You were smiling, too! Don't forget that part. And it's nice to see you seeing, I suppose? [ Not that she minds blind Sollux, but still. ]

[He attempts a smile. Maybe purposefully, this time it just looks like he's baring his fangs.]

Yeah, I guess seeing is a bonus. [Pause, as Sollux seems to realize something.] ...oh my god, I just realized. People actually don't die here. Otherwise I'd hear 'em.

[ That gets a laugh out of her, mostly because...well, that's true. ]

I can't hear anything, either! It's quiet, right? [ Aradia pauses, maybe to let the quiet have a moment, before continuing. ] And I still don't have anything I have to do. That's new, too.

It is quiet. I thought it was just because I was human but... wow.

[He glances around for a little bit, and then back up at Aradia.]

Hey... now that your schedule's all cleared up, want to go... [He shrugs.] I dunno, see a movie or something?

I think it's just...this place. [ She's only been here a short while, but there's already a great deal to enjoy. The lack of...everything, that's sort of at the top of the list.

She's just going to blink at that question for a second. It's so utterly mundane, after sweeps of being focused on the game. But after that second is up, Aradia will laugh. ] I'd love to go see a movie!

...It's pretty alright, I guess. Better than back home. [Of course he misses his hive and his possessions. Of course he does. But as a whole, the major cities of Alternia were kind of really shitty places to buy a hivestem compared to some of the towns around here.]

[And then watch him light up like a Christmas tree as soon as she responds in the positive.] You would? [He says this almost as if he doesn't believe it. Of course, he's seen his share of flicks with Karkat and Vanitas, but that... wasn't the same.] That's great! I don't know where the theater is in this city, but it shouldn't be that hard to find.

I like it here! [ She's long since accustomed herself to the idea of living without her hive or her things. They haven't mattered in a long time. The people she knows have mattered more, and save a select few, they seem to mostly be here.

There's another giggle here at the surprise. ] Of course! I don't know where it is either. Or what sorts of movies there are. But I'm sure we'll find something! I haven't...hm. I can't actually remember the last time I saw a movie? [ Wow. That's weird to realize. ]

[So has he, but... being back in a somewhat normal civilization has stirred up memories of home. Not entirely pleasant memories of home, mind you, but memories nonetheless. Living in cramped quarters with Karkat and/or Vanitas has done nothing to keep him from thinking about the cramped quarters he inhabited with his computers back in the olden days.]

That's not good.

[He looks down at the floor for a second, then up at her. Then at the floor. Then at her. Then he's just grabbing her hand and walking her along, a bounce in his step that hasn't been there for... sweeps, really. It had disappeared far before Aradia had even seen him in person. But something between the return of his powers and the return of the Maid of Time has set his mood way up in the positive.]

Well, we'll fix it now, right? [ Aradia just watches while Sollux seems to dither, curious but not about to interrupt whatever he's deciding. It really has been a long time since she's watched a video - probably not since before she died. She'd known there were things like that in this world, but somehow hadn't gotten around to seeing any of them as of yet - then again she'd only been there for a week.

There are some memories elicited from walks at night, when she'd camped near a field with Roxy, but they had all been mostly good. Mostly. Aradia tried not to dwell on the other sorts of memories.

That is startling. Sollux with a bounce in his step! But it's a good sort of startling, so Aradia isn't about to complain; she just squeezes his hand. It's nice to see him happy. ] You've been to movies here? Are they different?

Yeah. I travel with KK, of course I've been dragged along to see his shitty movies... and believe it or not, they're even shitter here than they were on Alternia. The titles are really damn short, for one thing...

[He goes on for a little about how weak and inferior these human movies are compared to the ones back on good old Trollplanet, until something seems to cross his mind and he stops abruptly.] Actually, there was one flick that didn't look like it would be too bad compared to most of the others. Windfall, I think it was called... it's an action movie about some secret agent guy who I guess infiltrates villainous hideouts and walks casually away from explosions for a living, I guess.

Wanna go see that?

He did mention you! I'm travelling with the new session human, myself.

[ Oh, Sollux. Aradia will just listen to the diatribe about human movies, not all that bothered.

Also? Action movies about explosions actually sound pretty darn fantastic to Aradia, which may be apparent from the excited grin she just got. ] Yes! That sounds exciting! ...Although the title isn't informative, that might be fun?

[ surprising, at least. ]

Yeah, the title is shit. But I guess that means we have a few more surprises in store for us with the plot.

After all, maybe they'll subvert the very obvious reveal this time.

[The toothy grin he's wearing shows that he's watched way too many of those, and he bets his bottom boondollar Aradia has too.]

Well, the very obvious reveal might be slightly less obvious if we don't know it's coming - although given that it's an obvious reveal, we probably don't need the forewarning?

[ She might be overthinking this. Either way, Sollux would win that bet; action flicks had always been pretty central to Aradia's movie tastes, when she actually had a chance to view them. That's probably not about to change anytime soon. ]

Are human movie snacks weird?

Well, if we don't see it coming, it's not an obvious reveal -- no two ways about it. [He smirks at himself for using the turn of phrase.]

Uh, not really. If you can get used to the lack of fried grub-legs, they're okay.

[ ...okay, that earns a laugh, but Aradia's joke meter is a little bit on the low side so how proud he should be is questionable. ]

Well, that's good, at least! Not the lack of friend grub-legs, I mean, but the lack of weird. I think I want something sour. Or sweet. Or sweet and sour?

They have candy for that. It's sweet on the inside but covered with little bits of sour stuff on the outside. I think it's fuckin' disgusting, but you can get some and see how it is.

[Sorry, he just eats popcorn. And mixes the red and blue slushies for a drink.]

Oh! That sounds interesting, though. At least you gave it a chance?

[ Giving things a chance is important! Aradia's pretty willing to try anything foodwise, though. And they should probably be reaching a theater sometime soon... ]

Yeah. But I mean, considering the other things you like, I'm not surprised that the disgusting candy is your favorite. [He elbows her shoulder, and then stops in his tracks. The theater is right in front of them, but he's just remembered something else.]

Oh, AA! Did you know that there's a Pokémon that's an ancient clay doll? It makes freaky noises and hovers all over the place, but I bet you'd love it.

I don't think you can call it disgusting when you look at some of the things you like! [ Although she's not really offended by that accusation so much as she is amused.

Also? Aradia did not know that. And that sounds like pretty much the most exciting pokemon she's ever heard of, oh gosh. ] Really? What type of pokemon is it? What species and type, I mean? Are they actually made of clay in a manmade sense or does it just seem to be natural somehow?

[Oh gurl, you did not just go there.] Are you kidding? All of my tastes are completely cool and sophisticated. Name one gross thing I like. [He puts his hands on his hips as he walks. Of course, everything you mention will be met with a rebuttal along the lines of "are you kidding? that shit is delicious!" But then again, it probably wasn't a serious invitation.]

[Sollux reaches into his pocket and tosses out a Pokéball, revealing a (surprise surprise) Claydol.] I got this one when I started... and I may or may not have named her after you, eheheh.
