see, they wanted to disassemble him so that they could put him back to "normal" because they thought he was malfunctioning.
but really he was actually alive.
and thanks to him the crazy animal lady and the scientist who built him end up falling in love and stuff.
it's an ok movie i guess. there is at least a lot of comedy to make up for all the cheesy romance stuff so it's not totally a chick flick.

okay so halloween takes place on october 31st and it's basically the best.
and i think originally it started out as some kind of festival for the dead? but nowadays it's not really as explicit.
more of an influence, really.
like you decorate with ghosts and skeletons and spooky stuff like that and go to haunted houses and watch scary movies and stuff like that.
also you carve faces into pumpkins and put a little candle inside them.
and set them on the doorstep. (there's probably some significance to this but fuck if i know what it is)
also also you dress up.
now this is the fun part.
you go around from door to door in costume, saying "trick or treat" and people will give you candy in the unspoken agreement that you not pull a prank on them in return.
(pranking is also kind of a big deal for this holiday though it's all about avoiding it, as opposed to april fool's day.)
this is typically something that kids do but fortunately we are at the age where it's still totally acceptable to do this. or to go to costume parties like adults do.
or both.
(this is a great holiday for teenagers, basically.)

because i was really terrible in the beginning, predictably. i had no idea what i was doing and i didn't really even have the proper feelings to back things up.
so he ended up telling me off and from that point on i really tried to pull my act together.
and i must have, because after she left?
he told me that i did a really good job. that the two of us were a good match.
that i FINALLY FUCKING GOT IT.
and i agreed. i thought i understood.
i thought she'd managed to teach me how to feel those sorts of things.

now i can't help but sit here and think i'm back at square one.
that i don't understand and i never will because humans can't fit into quadrants.
